New Team Members at Thought Quarter

It’s no secret that we’ve grown fairly significantly recently, and with the addition of our new Bristol office we’ve been able to welcome not one, or two, but three incredibly talented people to our team. Each member brings a unique set of skills, experiences, and fresh perspectives to our team, we’re delighted to have them on board! So, without further ado, let’s meet the newest members of Team TQ.

Ken

First up is Ken, who joins us as a Software Developer. To say Ken has a wealth of experience would be an understatement, his knowledge is incredible. Ken has been programming computers for over 20 years now and has worked across a number of industries including TV Shopping and the Public Sector (quite the contrast hey?).

Ken’s strengths don’t lie purely in tech however, oh no. Outside of work he’s a bit of musical wonder! He’s often up on stage at the local open-mic nights, playing his guitar and wowing the crowd. If you want to talk music, Ken’s your guy!

Akshata

Introducing Akshata, TQ’s new resident Test and Automation Engineer. Armed with half a decade of software testing experience and a very keen eye for detail, there’s absolutely no chance that anything is getting past Akshata! Beyond her tech prowess, Akshata's got some serious moves – on the dance floor! That’s right, this self-taught dance queen loves nothing more than grooving away to a tune, although she’s not picky on the music genre. All that dancing builds up an appetite, and as a self-confessed foodie there’s a good chance, you’ll see Akshata in one of Bristol’s foodie hotspots if you’re in the area.

Ian

Finally (for now), let us introduce you to Ian who joins TQ as our Operations Director. With over 10 years experience in the world of tech, Ian knows exactly what is needed to ensure TQ is running in the most efficient way. We’ve crowned him the King of Processes but, perhaps unlike some leaders, Ian likes to work collaboratively. When Ian’s not in the world of processes, he likes to hit balls at a wall. Turns out he’s actually pretty talented at it too and was ranked as one of the UK’s Top 10 Racketball players for quite some time. We’re delighted that Ian has joined the team (and at such an exciting time too). Not only are we working on some very exciting projects, but he’s also filling the much needed role of drummer for our TQ band!

So there you have it – three brand new faces joining our mission of using tech to create a better world. We’re sure you can see why we’re excited?! As we continue to grow, we’ll be expanding our team further so if you’re looking for a new challenge, head on over to our careers page. We’re always happy to hear from people who see themselves as part of TQ Team, even if their ideal role isn’t listed (yet).
